Fly Fishing Letters

The Mershon-Neumann chapter has been blessed for many years with the leadership and encouragement of many seasoned trout conservationists, one of whom is one of the original founders of Trout Unlimited and early Executive Director, Art Neumann. Art also introduced thousands of folks to fly fishing at the little shop behind his house in Saginaw--Wanigas Rod Company--all the while dispensing his personal gems regarding trout management and stream conservation. The gems of stream craft and trout lore below were included in the catalog Art mailed each year to faithful friends and customers from his Wanigas Rod Company. Although they were written some thirty or forty years ago, the insights these “Fishing Letters” gave us into Mr. Trout’s world are as fresh today as they were then. After all, wisdom and truth are timeless. Read and enjoy
