September 7- A Great Day to Volunteer on the Au Sable

RIVER CLEAN UP AND CEDAR TREE PLANTING

Saturday after Labor Day – Saturday, Sept. 7, 10:00 a.m.

Once again, the Anglers of the Au Sable is sponsoring the annual cleanup of the Au Sable River. This year we’ll be cleaning both the upper and lower Au Sable. Join us after the clean up for a great barbecue lunch! We need volunteers – each and every one of you makes a difference. To sign up, or for more information, talk to Josh: 989 348 8462, or Josh@GatesLodge.com

In addition to the river clean up, cedar tree planting will take place below Mio Dam.

Volunteers are needed to help plant cedars below Mio on the Big Water.  People interested in helping should meet at Comins Flats at 10:00.

Bring

  • Work gloves

  • eye protection

  • work boots

  • shovels

  • There might be poison ivy, so if you're sensitive, be prepared.

Lunch will be provided

Please RSVP Tess Nelkie at:  tessnelkie@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer.  Your RSVP will help us with the lunch provisions.

Thanks to all of you who can help and to those who have helped in the past.
